I ate here last week, and was greatly impressed. Although it cost a bit more than some of the other Italian resturants, I imediatly knew where that money went. The food was amazing (the chicken was fresh, something you will never find in a chain), and the wine list was impressive. Our server, Mindy was very friendly, and the bartender had an extensive knowledge of the wine list. (Oh and they actually served the wine in a real glass, not the 9oz saftey glass you get at some wine bars!) I sat on the "adult side" as our server called it, which was a slightly more formal, adult-only half of the resturant. They also had a more family-friendly side, for those with kids. At the end of our meal I was surprised that the owner of the resturant came out to personally thank us for comming out. Now thats something you simply dont see anymore. All-in-all a great experiance, and a new place to add to my "favorites" list.

Thought it was going to be another let down...but the food was REAL GOOD and the service was too. I've been back several times and it's always the same...boy is that a surprise!

It's a real mom and pop operation, not a chain restaurant like so many others here. My waiter had been there for 16 years and he said the owner started it 30 years ago. I had the trieste sauce, I don't know how to say it but man was it awesome. The house salad was fresh and the rolls were hot and tasted like they just baked them. Oh and they had my favorite wine Wild Hosre Merlot to top it off.

Well being Italian in Oklahoma has it's let downs (no good Italian Restaurants), then a friend of mine told me about Papa Dio's.First of all I could not find it, then when I did it looked like there was no seats because the parking lot was full. I had my wife go in to see how long the wait was and they said we have more seats than parking spots so we can seat you right now. When we went in it was like going back home to the neighborhood hole in the wall joint. They had everything I missed, eggplant parmigiana, clam sauce, they even had real Cannoli. Well now my life in Oklahoma is complete, it's now the best place in the world to live and I can even get real Italian food at Papa Dio's. Thanks John that's the best recommendation I ever got!
